Nanopolymer Systems, Inc. is developing advanced methods to design and manufacture ultra performance materials.  Our goal is to usher in a new materials-manufacturing paradigm: bottom-up manufacturing through nanostructural self-assembly.  This is also called molecular-precision manufacturing and is capable of creating atomic-precision nanoconstructs.

In 2017, atomic-precision manufacturing was added to the Department of Energy's technology roadmap as an essential technology for maintaining US economic competitiveness.  We are uniquely positioned to meet that need.

Advanced Energy Technology

The Nanopolymer Design Platform™ has enabled the design of several novel materials for the energy market.  These include 
  (1) continuous-path nanostructured electrolytes, for improving the performance of existing and next-gen batteries of all kinds,
  (2) di-lithium-binding anode coatings, for improved lithium-ion and lithium-metal batteries, and 
  (3) proton-only pores, for low-temperature, high-powered fuel cells.
These atomic-precision materials promise energy innovations across the board for the near future.

Advanced Catalysis Capabilities

Another nanopolymer design has been proposed for a new kind of catalytic agent: the heterogeneous linear metal cluster.  Our Nanopolymer Design Platform enables our metal clusters to be composed of two or three different ionic or sub-valent metal atoms for making an entire family of redox catalysts for chemical manufacturing, organic synthesis and environmental remediation.
